Port de pêche de Lesconil
in Plobannalec-Lesconil

A charming little character harbour which is home to fishing boats, pleasure boats, seaweed cultivation and processing. Every day at 11.15 a coastal fishing boat sells its catch on the quay and at around 16.30 several trawlers land their daily catch of langoustines which are then sold at Le Guilvinec fishmarket, although it is possible to buy them directly from the boats. There is also a shop by the harbour selling products made from seaweed. The slipway is a very lively place during summer...
The slipway is a very lively place during summer thanks to the nearby water sports centre and the south-facing pavement cafés are very popular all year round. From the harbour, the GR34 coastal footpath follows the rugged coast of Lesconil past the famous rocks in one direction, while in the other direction it leads to Quatre Vents beach, with its magnificent views of the Steir, and Plage des Sables Blancs with its turquoise waters and sand banks.
